FAQ

What exactly is powder coating?

Powder coating is a high-quality finishing process where a dry powder is applied to a metal item electrostatically. The item is then cured in an oven, which melts the powder into a smooth, highly durable, and protective layer that is much tougher than conventional paint.

Do I need to clean my parts before bringing them in?

No, you don’t have to. Our abrasive blasting service is designed to strip everything back to bare metal, providing the perfect clean surface for coating. We handle all the preparation work for you.

How long does the process take?

Turnaround time depends on the size, complexity, and current workload. We pride ourselves on efficiency and will give you an estimated completion time when you request a quote.

How much will it cost to powder coat my item?

The cost varies depending on the size of the item, the amount of preparation (blasting) required, and the type of powder chosen. For a fast and accurate price, please contact us for a free, no-obligation quote.

What areas do you service?

Our workshop is in Kelso, and we serve the entire Central West region, including Bathurst, Orange, Lithgow, Mudgee, Blayney, Oberon, Cowra, Dubbo, and all surrounding areas.

Can you match a specific colour?

We have access to thousands of colours from leading suppliers. While an exact match to a specific paint code can be difficult, we can almost always find a colour that is a very close match or a complementary shade.
